About us

Joyce Dachshund Puppies

Our puppies are neurologically stimulated which produces dogs who have healthier cardiovascular performance.
This means stronger hearts, stronger adrenal glands, increased tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.

Our puppies are naturally weaned by the mother (not typical of most breeders) producing pups who have an increase in self-control, relational comfort with other dogs, patience, and attention span… while also experiencing a decrease in aggression towards people and other dogs.
Our puppies are constantly exposed to common noises and sounds such as children playing & crying, vacuum cleaners, thunderstorms, and fireworks.

With ten years of experience and a passionate and dedicated team, we are trusted experts in this industry with a wealth of knowledge and the resources to care for, train, and socialise our animals.

As ethical breeders, concern for the health and well-being of our puppies is paramount and will always be a priority before profits. Our core values ensure that our dogs receive enrichment and an excellent quality of life.

Our animals are our passion, and even though our primary jobs take us off from time to time, we have a team put in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for every one of our puppies.

We advise purchases to buy from specialist full-time dog breeders instead of part-time breeders who allow their dogs to whelp unsupervised.

Our mission is to breed for excellence in health, intelligence, temperament and hypo-allergenic qualities.

Why Dachshund Puppies?

Dachshund puppies originated from Germany and back then they were referred to as the badger dog these cute dogs come in all shapes and sizes. These dogs can live in any type of home from apartment to farmhouse, the only problem you might run into is the cold. Short-haired dachshund dogs can’t handle the cold since their fur is so thin. They can handle the heat really well though. A long-haired dachshund puppy can handle both the hot and cold temperatures. Dachshund puppies are very clingy towards their owner and will show a lot of affection towards them. Your kids will love them as they are in need of exercising. They love kids as they can be playful towards them and get their exercise in for the day so at night they are all tuckered out and sleeping peacefully. Dachshund dogs of different types are indifferent to maintenance in terms of grooming. They all shed fur no matter what but the long-haired would need to be brushed more often than the short-haired which isn’t a problem for most people. Overall a dachshund puppy would be perfect for any type of home and family so make sure to contact us today to get you one.

Why Buy a Dachshund?

If you’re looking for a dog that’s small but full of personality, affectionate yet independent, and adaptable to many living situations, a dachshund could be a perfect fit. They are charming, fun, and loving companions that can make a wonderful addition to your life—whether you’re living solo, with a partner, or with a family. Just be prepared to give them some extra care for their back health, and you’ll have a loyal, long-lived buddy by your side!

What to Expect from Your Dachshund

Dachshunds are still capable of hunting, but they mostly serve as the typical family pet these days. Still, they have it in their nature to chase small animals and birds. They’re energetic little guys and will play fetch with tremendous determination. Generally, they never grow past 12 pounds, remaining “miniature’ for their entire lives.

If you do buy a miniature dachshund, you’ll find yourself in good company. Notable dachshund owners in history include Presidents John F. Kennedy and Grover Cleveland, author E.B. White, artists Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol, and newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst.

These dogs tend to live a good long life, typically making it at least 12 to 15 years. So you can be reasonably sure that you’re going to have your furry friend for a good, long time.

Our Clients Testimonials

4/5

Joyce was wonderful throughout the whole process, talking to us and helping us find the right puppy to bring home. Between picking him out and bringing him home, she kept us updated with photos, videos, and general updates. When we adopted him, the process was smooth and he clearly came from a loving environment. He's as well behaved as a puppy can be and is an absolute sweetheart.

Joyce is the BEST! We were looking to add a new little Dachshund to our family for years but were concerned about finding a responsible breeder that has genuine love for their dog and puppies. Joyce is responsible, loving, responsive, accommodating and talked though all of my questions and concerns! 5 stars all around! And a huge thank you to their puppy nanny service.

We just adopted a beautiful toy red merle boy. He is sweet and calm, yet still playful and inquisitive. Pure joy to add to our family! We highly recommend Joyce Dachshund Puppies, as the breeder has put so much obvious care, time and love into her dogs and puppies. Looking forward to coming back for more beauties when we can!, we wil recommend you services as much as we can.

I just wanted to say thank you very much to Joyce Dachshund Puppies for such a marvelous puppy! Nessa is an amazing addition to our family. She is so smart and cuddly. She has managed the transition very well. Our dog Holly loves her. Of course Nessa, as with all puppies, loves to nip and chew. However, she was very gentle with our 14 month daughter. Thanks for the love, we will remember it for a very long time.

Temperament:

Temperament: The Dachshund is a playful, loyal dog with a great deal of intelligence. They can be stubborn in their training, and sometimes have a tendency to be reserved around strangers. If raised in a house with children, Dachshunds rarely present a problem. However, if a Dachshund is not used to children, it can be aggressive against a child’s playful actions. The Dachshund’s personality can vary with coat type. For example, wirehaired Dachshunds may be mischievous due to their terrier background, while longhaired Dachshunds are calm and quiet. Smooth-haired Dachshunds have a temperament that falls somewhere in the middle. Either way, no matter the coat type, Dachshunds have earned a reputation as wonderful, loyal pets.

Grooming:

To groom your dachshund, you’ll need to brush his fur, trim his coat and bathe him. Check his ears, eyes and paws regularly to make sure they’re clean, and check for fleas and ticks. Brush his teeth with doggy toothpaste once a week and get his nails clipped regularly.

Training:

Fortunately, potty training a Husky is relatively straightforward. The main task is to get him into a consistent routine. However, you will also need to make the potty as pleasant as possible.

At 10 to 12 weeks, your pup can enter obedience classes outside the home, provided that they’re fully vaccinated. It’s also a good idea to make sure that the class requires all other enrolled dogs to be fully vaccinated, too.

Conclusion:

With the above knowledge about Dachshund Puppies, the Dachshund puppy remains one of the best dog breeds to ever own. We are one of the best Dachshund breeders in the country and can testify to how intelligent this dog breed is. You can visit our FAQ & Policies page if you have any other worries about the breed.
